Emergency room

The day started normally enough. Soren eating a lollipop.

It all went downhill when I tried baby proofing by taking down some mini blinds. The blinds fell onto the baby. He had a pretty nasty scratch on his eyelid and I saw a scratch on his cornea, too. We swaddled him in the car to keep him from rubbing his eye.

Sara and Soren in the waiting room (where a fight broke out!).

Soren the little visitor.

He smiled for the last picture, but still looked frightened The scratch is visible at the 8 o'clock position. He did really well. It was 10:30 before we got out of the hospital. The first nurse who saw him said if he had a scratch on his cornea he would still be screaming, they're so painful. He must be fairly tough but we are trying to keep Tylenol in his system.

I'm so sorry! What a day! I hope that Shay's eye is feeling better today.

He is a lot better if we don't let the Tylenol wear off.

He is in good spirits as long as we keep the Tylenol in him. He is a real trooper
