Shay had a hard time opening gifts from Ra Ra and Bubba so he needed quite a bit of help. He fell asleep before we could light the candle so we had cake (brownies) after breakfast. The cake didn't keep him going for long, and Shay was asleep before Ra Ra and Bubba left. Soren makes Ra Ra faces from time to time, but this isn't one of them.

It looks like a fun celebration! What did Shay get for his birthday?
He has only gotten gifts from Sara's parents so far. They gave him a farm puzzle, a dump truck with blocks and a winter coat. Opening presents didn't hold his attention through one gift but he really likes the noises the dump truck makes.
Those sound like fun gifts. A winter coat is a great gift! Clearly I like useful gifts.
Mom asked me what he wanted and I said all useful things and she got mad. She said she wanted to buy him fun stuff too! She did a great job of that! (Plus the winter coat will provide for warmth to have fun outside)
